Nippa and Larry June have joined forces for their new single, “Sugar”, a silky slow jam for warm summer nights. It may seem like an unexpected pairing, but there’s plenty of common ground between Nippa’s suave British R&B sound and Larry’s laid-back, Bay Area smoothness.
Show N Prove finds that sweet spot perfectly, whipping up an instrumental that balances tender melodies with just the right amount of thump. Naturally, a video was in order and it follows the two between London and New York, taking in the sights and basking in the light of each city’s late-night skyline.
This isn’t the first time Larry’s connected with one of our own. Back in August last year he teamed up with Knucks for another effortlessly cool cut, “I Suppose”. Let’s hope he makes a habit of it.
