Ghanaian hit-maker Black Sherif is back with his third single in what’s shaping up to be a very successful run this year. He kicked off the year with “January 9th”, followed by crossover smash “Zero” with Mabel, and now he’s dropped off “Shut Up”, a high-energy summer heater.
For the instrumental, he’s called on Joker nharnah, a producer with a formidable track record of his own, including the last few hits in Sherif’s arsenal. As is the singer/rapper’s trademark, there are elements of highlife, drill, Afrobeats and rap, all swirling around together.
With three box-fresh bangers up his sleeve ahead of festival season, chances are you’ll catch Black Sherif on at least a few lineups this year.
