Drake got deep into his R&B bag by rehearsing with a live band ahead of his PartyNextDoor & Friends concert this past weekend

The clip, said to be filmed by one of Drizzy's managers, Matte Babel, shows the artist soulfully crooning his Certified Lover Boy deep cut. The song has been an album favorite since its 2021 release, but Drake has seldom performed "Pipe Down" live save for a rare rendition on the Atlanta stop of the It's All a Blur Tour last year.

Footage from the PND concert confirmed that Drake did perform "Pipe Down," despite the live band not being seen onstage.

During the show, which was held in Toronto on August 2, the 6 God surprised attendees with news that he and PND are releasing a joint R&B later this year.

"On behalf of me and Party, we’ve been working on something for y’all," Drake told concertgoers at Toronto's Budweiser Stage. "So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you."

The LP will mark Drake and PND's first full-length project together, although the two have collaborated on material for roughly a decade.

Also during the Toronto concert, Drake performed an exclusively R&B set, including deep cut "Sweeterman" and the viral "Wah Gwan Delilah."
